Not Quiet Dead...

Howdy folks!

As I've said before, when there is nothing new to report no reason to update the blog. Time has passed these few months, with rejection after rejection flooding my inbox. Posting a quick: "Got rejected again!" Would be as boring as it is tedious, and I am certian I would run out of ex girlfrined jokes and bar jokes, long before I would run out of rejections.

So I started hunting around for my second book. Surprisingly, I didn't want to do a followup to my last book, even though it was the the start of a trilogy. Hunting around, I found myself retreating into history and famous people when one name caught my eye: Christopher Lee. We all know him as Saruman, Count Dooku, and a half a dozen other roles. He makes the consummate english bad guy.

Hunting through his history, I noted he was involved with Ian Flemming at one point. Considering that Flemming is noted for writing the James Bond character we all love, I thought this was majorly cool. They worked together in something called Special Operations Executive, an offshoot of MI-6 that specialized in morale.

Then the idea hit me.

A lot of famous actors (male and female) worked for the war. Wouldn't it book cool if someone told their story? Then I realized it would have been insane to write the real story, mostly because I could never get permission to access the record to see what they did. Also, I write fiction.

After a few more days of mulling it over, I realized there is a story in here, but one that could quickly go from cool to comic. These are larger than life people, people who accomplished things that defined them as "The Greatest Generation." I can't tell the real story, so I will make one up that such amazing people could have done. It will be a tricky line to walk, but I am up to the task.

World War two is filled with such amazing people that picking the right ones will be a challenge. Wish me luck.

Sorry for the short update!
